Oh Canada!
I spent four days in stillness and there i found myself.
Last minute, I decided I had to fit one more big trip into my year. I had been dying to go to Canada, (Banff specifically) so I rashly planned a solo roadtrip and left in August of 2018. I drove to Canada and spent 4 days staying in hostels, hiking to teahouses, painting by Emerald Lake and Lake Louise, hammocking by the Banff town river and reading LOTR, hiking Johnston’s Canyon, watching for bears, and walking around town. Those four days alone were blissful and serene. But on the fifth day, I met my dad and sister in Calgary so they too could check of an item in their bucket list and spent the night then made our way back to Banff. I repeated some things but discovered Athabasca Glacier and Lake Moraine with my family. We kayaked and had high tea in the Lake Louise Chateau which was my favorite part.
